This is Marfa Lights by Jin-Ya Huang. this image is simplistic, yet I can't look away from it.
Ok so I really like Beck. I also Really like this image. It is on display at The Morrison Hotel gallery in New York. It was taken for during a photo shoot for the album Sea Change by Autumn De Wilde. I like the simplicity of it . the muted colors with the big red ball and the delicate shadows. It isn't overwhelming but still very interesting to look at.

Alright here you go Michelle, this image is faucets I've lived with 1967-1972. it is at Janet Borden Inc. In New York. I think more than the actual image I love the title. I really love the idea of the lifeless objects in your living space become something that you live with. It reminds me of my apartment that I live in and how I talk about its fixtures.

my camera got stuck on long exposure setting. I feel that the pictures are emotive of the night. It was my friends birthday and election night. the light and movement seem to capture all of our excitement.

This is a polaroid By Patrick De Warren from his Awoken Dream series in the Sous Les Etoiles Gallery. I am working with polaroids right now for the current project. I think that this is really interesting the texture is soft and the lighting is rather harsh which creates an intersting feel.
This is a Lyth Print by Ron Hamad on display at the Robin Rice Gallery in New York. I like the textural quality of this image. The movement is really interesting in this composition. The lighting abstracts the figure and the cloth at first glance. it takes a moment to understand whats going on. I like images that take time to understand.
This is a photograph by Fred Cray, on display at Janet Borden, Inc in New York City. I really love to travel. I like the way that this is a bunch of memories streamed together. It is like an active interpretation of what the photographer did. It is telling the story like a writer would.

This series going home feature really lush black and white photographs. The one that I found to be really interesting is the image of the kids jumping on the old matreses. There is a lot of detail in this image. The contrast makes it feel cold (not to mention the snow and how the kids are dressed). It feels real, and heart warming.

This is an interesting image by Jim Fiscus. It is a juxtaposition between old and new. The trees appear to be old and they are next to a payphone on a modern side walk. The color gives the piece a painterly feel. It is almost eerie.

This is a flash photo so I was unable to post it here, but this is the link. This photo is of the band the B52s standing in a wave. The color is very exciting. All of lines in the photo (waves, clouds, clothing) lead the viewer through the piece. They all look like they are having a really good time, which is nice to see.

This photo was taken with a camera phone at a concert. I way the light interacts with the fog and creates highlights and shadows is interesting. I think that it captures the movement on the stage.

This is a picture of my sister and I that I took when she came to town last week. The angle is interesting. The diagnal line creates movement. The texture, light, and shadows make the image more interesting to look at. But most importantly it is silly and fun. It makes me feel good to look at it. It is capturing memories and the emotion of the moment.
This is a snap shot from a friends going away party. It is a very abstracted snapshot. The color is a vibrant red color. It feels dizzy when looking at it. The red causes a tention and emotive feel.
